Feeding Recommendation for Animals

The dosage of vital mushrooms depends on the animal's weight and individual needs. Since every animal can react differently, it is advisable to gradually introduce the amount over a period of at least three weeks.

As a guideline for dogs and cats: Small animals up to 5 kg receive about half a capsule daily, animals between 5 and 10 kg one capsule, between 10 and 20 kg about one and a half capsules, and from 20 kg about two capsules per day.

Especially at the beginning of feeding, temporary reactions can occur – particularly in animals under higher stress. These include mild gastrointestinal disturbances, skin reactions such as itching or rashes. In dogs, reddened ears or increased earwax may also occur, and in horses, occasional coughing. These phenomena are individual and usually subside again.

An adjusted, mindful feeding supports good tolerance and allows for optimal integration into the animal's daily routine.

Notes

The vital mushrooms for animals are complementary feeds and serve to supplement the daily feeding. They do not replace a balanced and species-appropriate diet.

As a precaution, Poria Cocos should not be used in pregnant animals.

Good to know: Cordyceps is on the doping list in equestrian sports. For sport horses, the applicable regulations and withdrawal periods should therefore be observed.
