About the Manufacturer

MycoVital is a family-owned company based in Limeshain, Hesse, near Frankfurt. Owner Christian Schmaus practically grew up with mushrooms. His father, who owned a mushroom farm, instilled in him a passion for mushrooms.

Every day, we optimize our processes and re-examine the individual steps of cultivation."

In addition to our mushrooms, we place particular importance on environmentally friendly production. To keep the energy requirements of our cultivation as low as possible, mushrooms that prefer warm temperatures are grown in the summer. A specially developed sterilization system for the substrate as well as photovoltaics help to reduce the impact on nature."

 

The Cultivation of Medicinal Mushrooms

The cultivation and processing into mushroom powder capsules takes place entirely and exclusively at MycoVital's facility in Limeshain, Germany. The mature, freshly harvested mushroom is dried immediately after harvest using a special, gentle drying process, gently ground into powder with a water-cooled mill, and filled into HPMC capsules. No intermediate storage (e.g., in a cold room) takes place. The immediate, fast, and gentle processing ensures that all important ingredients are preserved and that the mushroom does not lose its natural, beneficial properties for human nutrition. 

Controlled cultivation in a closed system ensures that the mushroom remains free from contaminants, unlike other manufacturers who grow their mushrooms outdoors.
